Luciano Marziali: Mia amata Italia

After twenty years of living in Germany, Luciano Marziali offers an hommage to his homeland: Mia Amata Italia. With works from the Italian Baroque by Ludovico Roncalli and Domenico Scarlatti, the romantic guitar arrangements by Johann Kaspar Mertz of the typical Italian dance "tarantella" and of Donizetti's Elisir d'Amore and the late romantic music by Benvenuto Terzi, Luciano Marziali shows virtuosity and passion from the land of arts and proves once again that he is, without a doubt, one of the best classical Italian guitarists of his generation.

Luciano Marziali - der italienische Maestro

Luciano Marziali, in Bergamo - Italien geboren, lebt seit zwanzig Jahren in Köln.

Luciano Marziali was born in Bergamo - Italy. After completing his studies at the Civico Istituto Musicale Pareggiato Gaetano Donizetti in Bergamo, he moved firstly to Darmstadt and then to Cologne, where I deepened my knowledge while specialising at the Akademie für Tonkunst and Hochschule für Musik und Tanz Köln respectively.
Various awards and acknowledgments convinced him then to become a professional musician with the goal of spreading the popularity of classical guitar and its repertoire. He still lives in Cologne, where alongside my live performances, I teach my skills and knowledge at the city's civic school, Rheinische Musikschule Köln. Additionally, in 2014 he created along with his colleague Jhon Jimenez the online TV channel Guitar TV World (http://gtvw.net/), which is dedicated to the guitar with the aim to further spread the appreciation for this splendid instrument throughout the world.
